Design & Facilitation

Inspire respect, connection and engagement

We help organizations focused on positive social missions by designing meaningful, effective conversation experiences and facilitating meetings, off-sites, dialogue and deliberation.

In a world riddled with division and distraction, gatherings, convenings, and meetings need – more than ever – to nurture the respect and care required to foster trust and meaningful connection.

Tea & Conversation at Trustman Gallery

BreakBread World  designed and facilitated Tea and Conversation, a gathering at Trustman Gallery in Boston to deepen and catalyze attendees’ experiences at the opening of  Pattern Language, an exhibit by visual artist Maya Erdelyi. Attendees participated in a facilitated conversation-based experience that called upon each individual’s life experience and inner wisdom to relate to and deepen their connection to the art. Rather than relying on curated explanations of how and what to think about the work, the inspired and enlivened conversations led participants to find their own paths into understanding and resonance that were as personal as they were paradoxically universal. Not your typical art opening!

People leave feeling energized, nourished, and connected with a heightened sense of respect, care and trust.

We design spaces that foster respect and make room for all voices where, through presence and creativity, people feel invited into connection, insight and belonging.

Our approach

We are soulful/artful facilitators committed to your success. Our approach, Embodied Conversation, arose out of our innate gifts of presence and perception. We have also been influenced by our extensive study and experience – Nondual Healing, Co-active Coaching, yoga and meditation, Landmark Education, sustainability, the creative process (music, choreography, film, storytelling), and non-violent communication. We have also been inspired by thinkers like: David Bohm, Peter Block, Francis Weller, Stephen Harrod Buhner, Sophie Strand, Clark Strand, Sara Jolena Wolcott, and Jason Shulman .  John is influenced by his family of creators, food and land lovers, deep strength, practical wisdom and love. Martha is influenced by her family of heart warriors, spiritualists, creatives, counselors and funny people.

“A survey of over 3,000 individuals across 10 countries revealed that being respectful is not just helpful when addressing conflicts between groups; it’s also viewed as a critical leadership responsibility.”
